Long live SIT

On the 2nd of September 2017, the much-loved SIT12 was retired from active duty, making way for the new kid on the block: the Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package, or, as we call it, SIT.

This shortened name of SIT is designed to reflect a model of continuous improvement rather than the regular, comprehensive reviews held every four years.

So, what’s different?

Anyone who has commenced development and delivery of programs in the new training package will have noticed changes to its requirements. These changes are reflected in our updated learner guides and assessments.

1.

All assessments have been updated to reflect Training package changes.

2.

Written assessments now have model answers built into 'Grade Me'. Trainers can view sample responses while evaluating student assessments.

3.

All assessments have new learner and trainer instructions, reflecting each unit’s new Performance Evidence requirements.

4.

Clear, step-by-step instructions for how to complete tasks have been expanded. Students and trainers will understand exactly how to complete each task and what must be submitted for assessment.

New Didasko Online platform

For clients that haven’t made the switch yet, we invite you to leap into SIT with our new Moodle 2.9 platform and start enjoying the improvements.

An example of an improvement with instant practical benefits is that all Assessments are now easily accessed from the Unit page.

You can upload Assessment documentation, Multiple Choice and Short Answer Assessments, Third-Party Reports and any additional evidence captured outside of the platform.

What does this mean for you? It means you can now store all Assessments in one place, making locating, monitoring and assessing your students’ work easier and faster.

Further benefits of the updated package

Modern user-friendly look and feel. 100% tablet friendly and mobile phone compatible.

Video clips can be uploaded to unit pages for additional learning enrichment.

Increased iconography makes navigation around the platform more intuitive.

Automated course completion tracking.

We provide full training on the new platform, individualised to you and your team’s needs. We also provide ongoing support to make sure your transition to the new SIT package and Moodle 2.9 is as smooth as possible.
