A9. Flash content not working correctly?
An update to Microsoft Internet Explorer (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912945/en-us) will affect the behaviour of Flash based content contained within our learning resources. In addition it appears the update may also roll back changes to the security settings for Flash content.
A10. How do I change Flash behavior.
Users will now be required to click on Flash content before they are able interact with it. For example, learners will now be required to click on icons in order to access the interactive content rather than simply rolling over the icon with their mouse. In this instance learners will receive a message to click to activate and use this control when moving their cursor over the Flash content. Once the learner clicks on the icon the content will behave as previously experienced. The above issue is not specific to Didasko content and has affected numerous websites and interactive CD-Rom content.
A11. How do I change Flash security settings.
In some instances the recent update may also affect the Flash security settings which in turn can affect the behaviour of drop-down menus in the Cookery II and Cookery III resources. In this instance the learner will need to:
1. Access their security settings via: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/
2. Select the Global Security Settings link and ensure the Always allow check box is selected. This will enable the drop-down menus to function as designed.
Didasko has developed a solution which will resolve this issue for future copies of our resources. We regret any inconvenience and if you have any questions regarding the above issues please do not hesitate to contact us.
